Meeting people where they are is the motto for all of our outreach efforts. Hence, "door-to-door" evangelism is our primary vehicle for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and backslidden in the community we serve.
Christian volunteers and participants of the addiction recovery support groups are trained in evangelism as we form evangelism teams to target complexes and share the good news of Jesus Christ in the community.
Teams consist of at least one male and one female and each team is comprised of at least three volunteers. Each team has a team leader that tracks the activities of each team and monitors the activities and responses of each team member. The team leader is an experienced Christian, an evangelist preferably, with formal training in the area of evangelism.
Not only do we share the Gospel during our time of outreach, but we also listen to the issues of the residence as well as identify basic needs that are not being met. Another goal we have as we "knock on doors" is to share vital community information with those who may otherwise not access this information.
We are equipped with the latest community services directories to share needed contact information with residences as needed. When we knock on doors in the community, we want the people to remember that The Good Shepherd Restoration Ministries is a resource, a friend and a means for reconnecting with God.
Although all believers are called to fulfill "The Great Commission," the spiritual gift of "Evangelism" is not found among many believers. But if you believe that God has Gifted you with this very special spiritual gift, then we could really use your help as we evangelize the communities in North Tampa...Please contact us as soon as possible.
God Bless You!
